Workshop Description
Join Emily for a 90 min session focussed on working deeply to find freedom and flow, reconnect with our bodies and to playfully enjoy moving through set dynamic exercises and phrases along with more improvisational starting points, all rooted in quality of movement and our relationship to space.
About Emily Alden
As a dancer Emily has worked across dance and theatre with companies, directors and choreographers including Kneehigh, WildWorks, Simon Birch, Yael Flexor, Agnieszka Blonska, Emma Rice, Cscape and Rosemary Lee. Her technical, expressive and articulate physicality is rooted in moving from an honest, playful and constantly curious place attuned to exploring quality of movement, states of tension and connection to physical space.
She is an Associate Artist at Hall for Cornwall and Lecturer of Dance at Falmouth University. She has received numerous Arts Council grants to support her ongoing choreographic and research work, currently creating solo work In My Head, an exploration of everyday sound and her experience of hearing loss.
