Hello.
Welcome to Audio Moves.
An online home for a series of projects, workshops & events created with digital & physical materials; a broad range of projects with specific purpose for arts communities & the general public. They include collaborative projects working with artists across disciplines from dance to illustration & from film to poetry, as well as ways to connect people through face to face and online activities.
Audio Moves was born out of a live touring project In My Head, an extraordinary experience of ordinary, everyday sound created through Emily’s personal experience of hearing loss, which is currently on hold due to the Pandemic. Audio Moves will continue to be inspired by In My Head, making visible our invisible experience of day to day sound.
The Pandemic changed our daily soundscapes, they became much more limited & repetitive as we were confined to our homes. Our relationships with friends & family were mostly, lived on-line through a screen. Audio Moves projects, with their individual fingerprints, will find ways for us to continue to reconnect to each other through imaginative, immersive, informative & enjoyable experiences to challenge isolation.
Launched in 2020.
A collection of 8 soundscapes from the shores of Gyllingvase (Gylly) & Grebe beaches in Falmouth. Recorded during early 2019.
The soundscapes are a unique type of immersive audio recording which gives the listener an extraordinary feeling of physical space.
Share the soundscapes with friends & family, rekindle memories, enjoy the beaches we aren’t able to visit right now & escape through sound to Cornwall.
Supported by Feast as part of their Re-Ignition Fund.
