Workshop Description

Emily’s workshop will encourage curiosity, physical exploration and dynamic connection with the body, each other and the physical space. Beginning with a contemporary based technical class with phrases focussing on accessing different energies, tensions and expressive capabilities to discover an instinctive way to get lost with purpose in the act of movement. Grounded in Cunningham, Release and Emily’s own individual movement vocabulary.

The afternoon session will build on material from class and with fresh improvisational starting points working deeply with partners and in small groups to play, make, throw away, begin again, respond, adapt and finally share material.
