Neon’s Adrienne Hart has been offered a SWCTN Porthmeor Residency for the month of December to research and develop new work ‘Prehension Blooms’, a new hour long performance work for Neon Dance. The project delves into the idea of loneliness as a symptom of modernity, charting the emergence of loneliness as a modern and embodied emotional state.

With an exciting team of internationally renowned artists and award winning technologist, this collaborative project engages with emerging technologies and cutting edge robotics to unravel the origins of loneliness, exploring how we find companionship and a sense of belonging today. Adrienne Hart will talk about her work to date and share early stage research ideas.
